Cappadocia… the Persian name “Kappa Tuchia” which means “The land of beautiful Horses”… Cappadocia offers outstanding landscape, natural beauties, fairy chimneys and rock-cut houses, the picturesque valleys, scenic lunar hills, incredible monuments from the Goreme Open Air Museum to Kaymakli Underground City, Uchisar Castle, Devrent Imagination Valley and Pasabag Monks Valley and more..
Cappadocia is situated in the middle of Turkey, in central Antolia. The region is mostly known by the three popular towns of Goreme, Urgup and Uchisar but actually it is the name of the very big region spread through the cities of Nevsehir, Kirsehir, Nigde, Aksaray and Kayseri.
DAILY CAPPADOCİA NORTH TOUR FROM ISTANBUL ITINERARY:
We will meet at your hotel lobby in Istanbul and transfer you to airport for your flight to Cappadocia. Take the flight from Istanbul Airport to Cappadocia. Arrival in Cappadocia and meeting at the airport just outside the arrival’s gate with a sign bearing your name then transferred to tour starting point where you will have to meet and depart for your tour.
Goreme Open Air Museum, Devrent Valley, Pasabagi, Avanos
First we visit to Devrent Valley where various types of fairy chimneys are abundant. We will walk through this amazing valley. Thereafter visit Pasabagi (Monk's Valley) with multiple stems and caps, peculiar to this area. After visiting Pasabagi, drive to Avanos which is known for the pottery, a craft dating back to the Hittite period. The red clay which is worked by local craftsmen comes from the residue in the Kizilirmak River, the longest river of Turkey. Further to the time for lunch proceed to Goreme Open Air Museum (Dark Church is excluded; entrance requires additional admission fee) to visit the churches, chapels and monasteries carved into the fairy chimneys from the 10th to the 13th centuries with frescos painted on the walls. Thereafter time to take photos in the neighboring valleys.
After your tour we will transfer you to Cappadocia Airport for your flight back to Istanbul. Upon arrival to airport, we will meet and transfer you to your hotel. Our team says so long and looks forward to be your host again until next time on your travel pleasure for other destinations. Gule Gule.

Located between Uchisar and Goreme is a panoramic viewpoint which showcases the beauty of the crazy landscape that makes up Cappadocia. The Goreme Esentepe viewpoint overlooks the town of Uchisar as well as over the valleys that are scattered with the famous fairy chimneys of Cappadocia. The best panorama of the area, be sure your camera batteries are charged.
The Goreme Open Air Museum is an impressive collection of churches, chapels and monasteries that date back to the middle ages. As you are guided through you will be amazed with how rich the museum is in history and be amazed with the numerous frescoes that have been beautifully preserved. The museum is a highlight within the Cappadocia region.
Pasabag is also commonly known as Monks Valley. This stop is one of the most famous as it showcases the three headed fairy chimney, which is a sight to behold. The viewpoint is a highlight of many peoples North Cappadocia day tour as it showcases the magnificent and crazy landscape of Cappadocia and the famous fairy chimneys.
The Devrent Valley is well known for its moon like landscape full of small pointed fairy chimneys. It is time to stretch the legs when you arrive at the valley and there will be a short walk for you to wander through the unusual and breathtaking landscape.
The town of Avanos is famous for its pottery industry which dates back to as far as 3000 B.C. The town still holds onto its history as it is scattered with little pottery workshops where the trade has been passed on down through the centuries. The clay used for the pottery is all sourced from the Red River which runs straight through the heart of town. There is the opportunity today to visit a pottery workshop and see the craftsmanship of the pottery trade.
The three rock formations known as the Three Beauties are the famous symbol and landmark of the town of Urgup. The three rocks are of a legendary story of past times and are said to represent a runaway princess with her husband, that no one approved of and their small child. Be sure to ask your guide for the full story.
